Hi,
So my bake element popped 3 days before a big party at our house! I replaced it just in time and when I tried to burn it off, it was heating very slowly. Come to find out that the Main L2 relay on the control board is shot so the element only has 120 and not 240 on it. My question is this. There are two spades for L2 in so it would be very easy for me to move the L2 out over to L2 in and bypass the relay while I am getting a new board. I was hesitant to do this since I am not 100% certain of the relays purpose. It pulls in when you enter any bake/broil mode etc. So I am assuming it is just an added safety to avoid L2 from being out on one side of the coils when the oven is powered but not in operation. Anyone see an issue with temporarily bypassing it for now? Thanks for your input
