Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/6/2018(UTC) Posts: 1		I really need help! My washer stopped agitating/spinning. It sounded like it was grinding gears. When I manually spin the agitator, the entire tub spins. The agitator will only turn counter-clockwise. The middle rod or center post will not move, it seems to be "frozen". I was removed the agitator. The little dog-aits appear ok but I have ordered replacements. When I tried to turn the center rod with pliers, it did not turn, but the entire inner basket moved. I can not find a repair video or any written repairs that specifically tells what the problem is. Where the center rod is, the area looks corroded. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

Its a common failure and fairly easy to repair. The other possibility is a bad gearcase. Lets hope not. There is a video that might help.
