Hello,
A few years ago I replaced the board on my dishwasher after troubleshooting from this site and others.

Lately, the Start button has been very tempermental to get working. Other buttons seemed fine. Last night I stopped the cycle by opening the door to grab something out. After closing the door again, the start button wouldn't do anything. I also tried pushing the Cancel button, and it won't do anything.

I unplugged the washer for 10 minutes, when it comes back on the start button is still flashing as though it's waiting for me to resume it.

What are my next steps? I'm looking for a diagnostic cycle to test the main funcitons, but I don't think they work because the washer is currently in a cycle. How do I reset it? How do I get it to drain the water that's in there now!

I suspect my control panel is going bad again as the Start button has been a problem.


**Update**

I followed these steps to get the water to drain. I also believe this verifies that my master control assembly itself is working correctly. I will now attempt to rule out the door switch (which I doubt it is). I'm guessing if the door switch is good, then it's my control/touch panel again.
