Dryer runs for 20 minutes or so and quits. No power to anything. Display is blank, all buttons, knobs, unresponsive. After awhile it will come back on to the exact time remaining on the timer and we have to push the knob to start drying again. It did this once before and it it just started working again until recently.
So far we have tried the following with no results: 1) Vacuumed all lint in case. Not much was there. 2) Cleaned lint from dryer all the way outside. Some lint present but not significant. 3) Dryer will run forever on no heat cycle, so that should rule out an over heating motor and any potential bushing/bearing failures in belt train. 4) Replace breaker in breaker panel. Perhaps bad run thermostat or possibly high limit thermostat? Advice is appreciated.

Unfortunately it sounds as if the control board may be bad. Whirlpool WP35001153 Control Board - AppliancePartsPros.com This board is in essence a computer. If it overheats and has a bad component then the shut down makes sense and when it cools down still has memory of previous mode to continue. Remember here at APP we have a 365 day return policy if its not the problem after all simply return for refund.
