Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/18/2017(UTC) Posts: 2		Arctic Air Commercial Chest Freezer (Mfg by Electrolux) has thawed completely and then refrozen. This has happened a couple of times, most recently resulting in several hundred dollars of spoiled food. I'd like to isolate the potential cause(s) and see if it's cost effective to repair it myself. I'm guessing it was made between 2006 and 2009. Serial # is WB73440878. It's a large chest freezer, and I don't really have the budget to replace it. Thanks in advance for any assistance! :(

There are quite a few things that could cause problems like you're having. A thermostat that sticks and doesn't come back on for awhile. Problems with an electrical outlet, plug. cord, or electrical connections. A compressor that is having problems or if the start relay is starting to fail.
