Arctic Air Commercial Chest Freezer (Mfg by Electrolux) has thawed completely and then refrozen. This has happened a couple of times, most recently resulting in several hundred dollars of spoiled food. I'd like to isolate the potential cause(s) and see if it's cost effective to repair it myself. I'm guessing it was made between 2006 and 2009. Serial # is WB73440878. It's a large chest freezer, and I don't really have the budget to replace it. Thanks in advance for any assistance! :(

The same problem was happened with me. I think you should repair the compressor of it and also check the door of the freezer. I think you may take a result.

Don't pay any attention to this spambot. Originally Posted by: Dean Haustead The same problem was happened with me. A thermostat that sticks and doesn't come back on for awhile. Problems with an electrical outlet, plug. cord, or electrical connections. A compressor that is having problems or if the start relay is starting to fail. I'd start with the plugin and work my way though it. If you should need the thermostat number....... I appreciate your response. Assuming I rule out challenges with the power source at the outlet, cord, etc., I take it my next step would be to replace the thermostat. Is that accurate? Thanks again for your help.
