I have a whirlpool duet dryer WGD8300SW1 and when it runs, the drum turns and there is a loud screech. How to determine if it is the belt or the 2 rollers? Thanks

Your model number shows 4 rollers, 1 idler pulley, and a belt.

Why fight it, just use a 27" kit. It has everything you need and its cheaper too. Don't forget to watch the video.
