I have a white wire that somehow came unconnected from somewhere and I don't know where it goes on my washer. I just replaced clutch and now it's not doing anything except fill then nothing I think it is the wire but can't seem to figure out what it hooks to.

Where is this wire located? Near the motor, near the timer? Near the lid switch?

Could you please describe it better and post a picture of it?

The white wire has a small black connector on it runs through harness with other wires going to motor it's from bottom of washer around where motor bolts to washer saw a picture of motor and I am not seeing that wire on motor so has to go somewhere around that around

I think I know where your wire goes. Load this video. Don't pay any attention to whatever he is babbling about. Just stop the video at 3:20. He is pointing to a small black box mounted under the motor's metal frame.

I believe that is where your white wire goes. The white wire is the neutral side connection to the motor and the black box is an overload protection for the motor. Without it your motor can't run.

Hmm, okay I will check this. I did see black box inside motor frame. So does motor sit upside down on washer? Cause I tried connecting wire to this black box and won't stay on it just keeps sliding off. But if motor upside down their may be another spot I gotta check I been trying to hook it up on black box next to other wire connector right under where pump goes. Definitely is my problem for sure though! That's a plus! I won't be home till after 4pm today to work on it but this is a start. Just need to get under there and do some investigating lol thank you very much this is helpful :)

You really need to take pictures before you tear them apart.

With the washer sitting on its feet, the motor's wiring connector is on the right side. See picture.

Yeah, I wish I did! But wasn't expecting a wire to unconnect from somewhere lol video only showed removing the connector that is attached to wire harness and I didn't pay attention to this white wire cause wasn't mentioned to take off but it did! I think I have idea where it goes just won't stay on. Once I get down to look I'm sure I'll figure it out hopefully! Great feedback though and pictures help to get idea if I'm in right area!
