This may sound odd but the computer was fooled when you had the water off. Plug it in and let the drain pump run perhaps for 5 to 10 minutes. If you leave it alone it may reset and perform properly. It must complete whatever cycle it thinks its in to continue. ( I just did a service call with similar issue and this worked for me. The customer had left the cold valve off and when it went to rinse [all rinses are usually cold] the machine thought it was filling but never did.)
