My son noticed a puddle the other day in front of the freezer. We thought maybe door hadn't been shut well. Next day things were continuing to thaw. There was not the usual vacuum seal when i shut the door. I cleaned it out and turned it off. When I turn it on I only get the fan, no compressor.

Just would like to know if it is worth fooling with.

Thank you so much for any advice,
Dru

The evaporator fan motor draws air over the evaporator coils and circulates it throughout the freezer. On mainly refrigerators, the fan motor will not run when the door is open. Make confident that the refrigerator door is closed and the door switch is activated. If the door switch is activated but the evaporator fan motor still won’t run, replace the evaporator fan motor.:)
