i have a whirlpool refrigerator, with dual evaporators. it started with the ice and water not working, after several service calls a service company replaced a power supply and the board inside the pantry compartment. but the fridge does not cool, the freezer works fine. i followed the tech support and found the evaporator fan was not turning on. when i checked it i found it had 14vdc witch is what it requires. i ordered the fan but found the fan is a three wire dc brushless motor the fan was fine it was not receiving the secondary voltage for it to go, back to the tech support i ran a diagnostics from the control panel and found everything was functioning properly the fan in the fridge even came on. ordered a control board because the tech sheet said it might be that. no good it was not the control. i removed the thermister in the fridge nest to the evap fan and found the resistance was not right. does this sound like the right conclusion or has anyone else have had this problem with whirlpool. i installed the termister and associated harness and it still does not work. i ran diagnostics and the three way switch works and in diagnostics the fridge fan comes on. the fan in the ice compartment is on and i have noticed the freezer fan does not cycle it stays on.
