Hi there,
My second-hand fridge is sick. Symptoms:
-freezer is operational, but the fridge isn't cooling properly -side of the fridge appears to be overheating -the defrost timer was just replaced two months ago (but I'm not sure if it's still working properly--it appears to be working properly?) -the freezer coils are ice-free, the back of the fridge is clean, and the evaporator fan is running properly -and finally, there appears to be a mass of melted wires in the back of the freezer (should I be concerned about this? I'm thinking probably)

The model is a Whirlpool B28DMCSWQN/WAU.
There's no point in calling in a repair person, since the cost of call-out is about the same as I paid for the fridge. I'm thinking it makes the most sense just to replace the entire fridge. However, if there's a way that I can fix it myself, that would be best!
Any help would be appreciated!
