Verified power to unit, but no lights or sounds. Yesterday, I did have to remove a shirt sleeve that was caught in the lid latch, that was not allowing lid to open. Wife did do another load afterwards.

If you are sure that 110v is getting to the control board then it sounds like that board is blown. It is an expensive part and for about the same money you can purchase a basic no frills top loader, which would be my recommendation.
Washers hate electronics and vice versa. Boards should never ever have been put into them for reasons you are now only too familiar with.
