I've had this Whirlpool Dishwasher for a Little over 1 yr. I noticed there was no steam coming from it and when I checked the dishwasher the water was cold and dishes were covered in soap at the end of the washing and rinsing cycle. I googled some solutions and came to the conclusion that it was the heating element. So I ordered a new one, replaced it and the dishwasher is still doing the same thing. So now I'm at a loss. Can anyone suggest a solution or should I just buy a new one. I haven't had this dishwasher long at all and already having problems out of it.

I'm having the same problem as original poster, and I checked the hi-limit thermostat and it it's fine (0 ohms).
What would the next step be in troubleshooting this type of problem?

With power removed from the unit check the heater circuit (P4-3 to P4-4) at the control board. If that is OK then the control board is probably toast.
See the tech sheet in an earlier post. |

See the tech sheet in an earlier post. I have a Whirlpool GU2800XTVB3 Quiet Partner V and have the same problem. Is it the same circuits on this model and how do I check them?

Sorry for not replying sooner but I am no longer active on this forum.
The circuitry will be different so it would be best that you start your own post suing POST NEW TOPIC in the dishwasher section. |
