My Kitchen Aid Selectra 24 oven started shutting off when used for a long period of time. Now it shuts off if used for 45 minutes. It always resets and is ready to be turned on again afterwards but if I am not watching it my food does not get cooked. Recently it shut off and would only turn back on for a few minutes before shutting down and resetting. There is no error code and the control panel is working fine. Should I replace the thermoprotector? Rebuild the circuit board? Other ideas? Over work well otherwise.

Here are your parts
Parts for KitchenAid KEBI141YBL0 Oven - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for a tech sheet. It is for a BL4 unit but is the only one I could find. Probably the same or very close to yours.

I do not see one in this unit.

The board is what I think is causing the problem.
Since the4 board is no longer available;le this is the only choice you have.
I do not know how successful repairing it would be as it takes 45 minites for the fault to happen.

The thermoprotector is Part Number: AP3095457
Made by: Whirlpool Item # 20 on the diagram you attached. Is the thermoprotector a one time fuse or does it reset?

I am not sure if it is a fuse or self-resetting.

But you had said the control panel works fine and I would say that this thermostat would kill power to the control board/panel so is not the culprit.

It would still be a good idea to check it with a meter should be 0 ohms at room temperature.

When it trips when it gets hot the oven shuts off the control panel goes off and then resets and comes back on with the oven off.
