When baking the temperature will not reach max temperature. Thermal fuse has continuity and broil element works fine. Have checked the oven sensor and it appears to be okay, approximately 1100 ohms at room temperature. The bake element has continuity but when turned on I'm only getting 55 volts at element instead of 240 volts. Do you think this is a faulty bake relay or control module? If it is a relay can it be replaced separately? If it is the module, is it available? I've seen on another site that it is obsolete.

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool GR448LXPS2 Range - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. Does sound like a control board problem. Do you think this is a faulty bake relay or control module? The bake relay is part of the control module/board. If it is a relay can it be replaced separately? Yes it could be replaced but you would need soldering/de-soldering experience. You would also have to source it from an electrical/electronic parts store as it is not sold by appliance parts outlets. Another problem is that you do not know if it is a relay problem or the electronics that control the relay. There is no good way to find out as appliance manufacturers do not publish board schematics. If it is the module, is it available? Yes it looks like it is obsolete. You may be able to find one with some hunting on the net. Also there are companies out there that repair obsolete boards. Google " applaiance timer repair" |
