I had an evaporator freeze over problem. The Defrost Heater tested OK. The Defrost Thermostat tested OK. The Defrost Thermistor tested OK. When I performed a manual Defrost via Diagnostics, there was 0 volts on the Defrost Pin on the Motherboard. Maybe, a bad relay on motherboard? So, I installed a new WR55X10942 Motherboard in the GE PSI23MGMA BB side-by-side fridge. Using the diagnostics, the Defrost Heater does now energize properly. So, the Defrost heater issue appears to be solved.

Issue #1:
Now when I test the Thermistors via the Diagnostics, the test results are different ...

With the Original motherboard (EBX1005G01 REV L) ...
Thermistor #1 - Fresh Food Top = PASS
Thermistor #2 - Fresh Food Bottom = PASS
Thermistor #3 - Quick Chill = FAIL
Thermistor #4 - Evaporator = PASS
Thermistor #5 - Freezer = PASS

Thermsistor #3 should fail because this model does not have Quick Chill.

With the NEW motherboard (WR55X10942) ...
Thermistor #1 - Fresh Food Top = PASS
Thermistor #2 - Fresh Food Bottom = PASS
Thermistor #3 - Quick Chill = PASS
Thermistor #4 - Evaporator = PASS
Thermistor #5 - Freezer = FAIL

I do not understand why Thermistor #3 is now PASS
and Thermistor #5 is now FAIL.
Did the order of the Thermsistors in the Diagnostic Test change?

Issue #2:
With the Original motherboard (EBX1005G01 REV L) ...
The Evaporator Fan would STOP when either door was opened.

With the NEW motherboard (WR55X10942) ...
The Evaporator Fan continues to RUN when either door is opened.
Did this functionality change ?

Is there a list of the CHANGES in the WR55X10942 motherboard?

NOTE: I did NOT clip wire from Pin #2 of J-1 because this is a Side-by-Side (not bottom freezer) and Serial Number begins with "GA" (not in list).
