Whirlpool washer stops after wash cycle, before draining to rinse.

Open lid, close lid. Starts right back up and finishes complete wash as normal.

Took a good bit of fiddling around to determine the simplicity of the work-around.

First occurrence Thursday. Repeated twice over the weekend. Exact same each time once I figured out the lid dance. No knob on-off, no trying different wash cycles, nothing....just the lid.

Assuming that it's something with the timer. Please confirm.

Assume that's an LSR8133 not LSB. Open the control panel and jump out the lid switch connection. If problem goes away, replace the lid switch. These switches are prone to coming apart.

Now it won't repeat the problem.

When it does, i'll try the bypass.

Hope it's the switch. They're cheaper!

Thanks
