I've owned this dryer for years and know that when the "Lint Filter" light lights - and the dryer stops, you would think the solution is with the lint filter. It's not: I have found that the cause of the problem is an accummulation of lint on the wires in the heater chamber in the rear of the dryer. Unfortunately, lint seeps into that chamber and slowly covers the wires which, unfortunately, triggers the bogus "lint filter" light. Get a compressor or shop vac and clean off those filaments and guess what? lint filter light doesn't come on no parts needed.

This is simply a correction to the model number in the previous post about the erroneous "lint filter" light problem afflicting these over-priced Bosch products. My product's numer is 3510 but I have seen this problem in newer models of this dryer. Shame on Bosch.

Lana Just had mine repaired..easy fix. I got the tech to tell me what he did. He reset the computer on the dryer. Unplug for 10 sec Plug in for 2-3 sec Unplug for 10 sec Plug back in and the computer is reset. He said that if you open the door while the unit is running then it will throw off everything. Made sense since I had done that several times. Good luck. Working and it only cost me $100 which I gladly pass on to you!

A couple of clarifications: Was your dryer getting the "E0:1" error or would it just not finish the cycle with "lint filter" light blinking? The unplug-plug-unplug solution... is it done with the cycle selector off? Thanks again!

My wife has a Bosch Premium dryer that had drying problems. The lint filter would get cleaned but the machine still did not operate correctly, as you explained above. Her machine was made in 2005 and the lint screen, the plastic slotted unit in front of the lint filter was the problem. It gets clogged up with hair/lint that never makes it to the filter. I tried a shop vac to vacuum it but the problem was still there. Get a pistol cleaning kit for a 22 cal gun. Pull the lint filter out & then take the pistol rod and insert it from the drum side into each slot and pull out the tons of lint. Pull the lint off the rod when done and take a flame to burn the rest off as the rod is a brass brush with small wires on it.

Ok, I had the same issues. THe repair man first reset the dryer, that did not work. He finally came back and replace the following parts. For free which leads me to believe this is a defect since my dryer is 5 years old and out of warranty. Parts # 154166 Sensor 436435 PC board 422221 Sensor
Machine is running perfect now. Like I said I think this has been a defect that they just are not doing a recall.

You may want to call the 800number and ask if this is covered.

When I keep the grill in front of the filter clean there is no problem with the machine. It is a design issue and would require the entire internal guts to be redesigned and installed.

Now with the replaced parts it works great and I love my dryer again.:D
