My washers agitator is working but the tub it self is not spinning at all. I am just getting soaked cloths the belt is spinning and the transmission is spinning . I recently changed the tubseal about two months ago and everything has been fine til yesterday

while retracing what i did to replace the tub seal I notice the washer agitator coupler has metal chips in it

IF the transmission is broke could the agitator still spin even though the tub wont?

If the transmission is spinning, then the transmission is not the problem. Sounds like a problem with the split washer and/or tub nut. Did you use a spanner wrench and hammer to tighten the tub nut?

I dont think he used a spanner wrench.
