control panel buttons work, but at times the button that controls the dishwasher to start working sometimes doesn't work properly. I am thinking the control panel is going bad. Sometimes when I press the button to start the dishwasher all of the other buttons go out. It does not do that all of the time. I am thinking about getting a new control panel. Your thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

Do you have the tech sheet?
Often it is taped to the back of the kick plate.
It will let you check the control panel (keypad).

Do you get a beep or any other indication that you have pushed the start button?

The problem could be either the control panel or the control board.
Might even be one of the door switches.
