Our ice maker went out on the frigidare and i have an extra from a kenmore which i understand is made by whirlpool, The plugs are slightly different with one being a 4 pin with 3 males and a female and the other being a 4 pin all female. Can somebody please tell me which wires to splice together (solder and heat shrink ?) I understand that there are plugs avail but i simply can't afford to buy one. Thanks in advance.

I do not know if I can help but if you provide the model number of the fridge and the part number of the ice maker I may be able to find wiring diagrams for you.

Thanks denman. The re fridge model # is MRS22WNGW6

The ice maker is an older unit. Here are the numbers that i found,
I am unsure which is the model # IM #S 106 626636
The other number is LR 5810 or possibly LR 5010 (My poor old eyes aren't what they used to be) Manufacture date is 08-23-95

Here are your parts for the fridge.
Parts for Frigidaire MRS22WNGW6 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is a better copy on the fridge wiring diagram.
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...f/Anderson/218905000.pdf

Nothing comes up using the LR numbers.
The 106 by itself indicates that the actual manufacturer is Whirlpool.

When I search using just 626636 the following comes up.
Part number: AP2984633
Part number: AP2984633

I then look that it is used on a Whirlpool ED25RFXFW01.
I have attached the tech sheet for that unit.

So between the two wiring diagrams you may be able to figure out how to wire this in so it will work.
