I have a fridgidaire side by side that has stopped cooling & freezing. The compressor is making a clicking noise???? Does anyone have an idea what this may be????

I cannot find any info on the given model number. Clicking is the compressor trying to start over and over again. Perhaps the following will help. How To Fix a Refrigerator - Appliance Repair Guide - ACME HOW TO.comNote the compressor winding resistance test can tell you that a compressor is bad. It does not tell you that the compressor is good as it may have other internal problems. If the compressor measures OK and then try replacing the start device. It may be obvious that it is shot and there is not a good way to test it. This may be a sealed system problem re: compressor, so check your warranty. Often the sealed system has a longer warranty. |

Ok thanks.....I called my parts supply store & thwy couldnt find that model # either.....its kind of weird. Thanks for the info though
