Wiring MGDC300XW1.pdf (603kb) downloaded 7 time(s).
Is this melted black stuff on the pulley from the belt that melted or the pulley itself melting? and can i replace just the pulley instead of the whole motor. All the parts lists I'm seeing only has the entire motor for replacement not just the pulley.
Thank you

That is just the pulley, they regularly do that on these models and yes you should be able to just replace it. You are right, I don't see it separate from the motor but call APP because they should be able to sell you just the pulley.

ok, i managed to get the pulley clean of all the melted stuff and bought a new belt but it seems like the belt is loose and when running a wash cycle the tub doesn't spin fast enough to get the water out. Is there a way to adjust the tension on the belt?

On this model the motor pivots to act as a clutch, so the belt should be loose when it is not operating.

The most common problem with lack of adequate spin on this machine is the thrust bearing, this part here

Part number: AP4009132
Part number: AP4009132

Try changing it out and then observe the machine running with the front panel off to see if there is a problem with the motor pivot.
