I was using my stove one day and suddenly the all burners stopped working. The oven also stopped working. I checked the breakers and power is not problem. When I turn burner knobs the LCD screen/control selector lights up and allows me to choose functions (bake, temperature, clock, etc), but stove AND/OR oven does not come on. I am a female with little attitude for repairing appliances without instructions. Any help with troubleshooting this problem is appreciated.

A model number may help others help you. Find your model number - AppliancePartsPros.comIf this is an electric stove then a power problem is at te top of the list as possible causes. The oven light and control board/timer uses half the line (120 volts) but the elements all require the full 240 volts. Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip.
