during use chassis was extremely hot. cleaned vent, seemed to be ok for a few weeks. first load of the day opened door and saw element was glowing. found coil was touching the mounting bracket and bent it back in place. seems to work ok, thermostat appears to cycle normally, drum turns, vent blower works. still worried coil may heat up spontaneously ??

Need a model number.
With just a series number I cannot find a wiring diagram. It is a Kenmore so their model numbers are usually 3 numbers, a period and then an additional 8 numbers |
