I have a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator with a broken water actuator lever. I ordered and received the replacement (part #24 from schematic) but can't seem to get the panel off to access the part. Anyone else had this problem? Go in from front?? or back??

The dispenser has to be taken apart from the front. The frame is holding by the three screws (#82 on the break down diagram) on the bottom. Do not forget to unplug the fridge first. Gene.

Thanks Gene...got the disassembly figured out...put the actuator in, now when I plug the front panel back in the ice dispenser runs continuously!! Any easy suggestions? or should I through the towel (or the ice bucket!!) in and call a repairman?

Looks like the switch inside is stuck. Possible you misalign the actuator.
Gene.
