Hi,

While my dishwasher is an Inglis IFC25000 I cannot find diagrams etc but the attached manual for a WU5750Y1 seems to be similar. I needed to replace the Timer Disk which has been done but unfortunately I cannot fit the Cam Follower in the correct place. Looking at the attached manual (Page 2 Frame & Console Parts) I see that #5 = Timer, #6 = Cam and #4 = Cam Follower), I am under the impression that the Follower fits between the Timer and the Cam but I cannot figure how it fits. I have also attached a photo of the Timer and the Cam follower. I trust you can help and in Layman's terms as I am non too handy.

Best Wishes. David.

Hopefully you have already figured this out.
I hunted around for a decent explanation with pictures or a video and could not find anything.
I was hoping someone else would jump in with one of the above.

I can tell you that you are on the wrong shaft.
I believe it goes on the cam's shaft and then the little stud follows the irregular shape of the cam.

Hi Denman, You are appreciated. As soon as I have figured out what the Cam Shaft is I will give it a try. Probably not until tomorrow. I will be in touch.

Hi Denman,

I am stll not making progress. Did I tell you I am not a handy guy. I have attached another picture that might help. The picture shows (a) the Timer (b) the Cam connected to the Timer and (c) the Timer Knob. We have successfully connected the Cam to the Timer Knob. Where does the Cam Follower fit into the attached picture?

Thanks for your time Denman.

Below is a link to a service manual.
You will have to join the site and be logged in to be able to download the manual.

Hi Denman,

Success! I was mounting the Cam on the Timer backwards so it is not suprising that the Follower was not following!! We now have a working dishwasher. Many Thanks for your help. Now I have a problem with my washing machine........
