Our Whirlpool Cabrio stopped draining properly. The culprit was the plug connecting the control board to the drain pump. One of the wires had somehow pulled out of the plug, which seems to be damaged. Can the plug be replaced, or am I in need of a completely new wiring harness? I've attached a picture of the plug (Note that I stuck the wire back in. It works, but I fear that because the plastic tabs on the plug are damaged, the wire will come loose again at some point). I've been unable to locate a replacement plug, although have found replacement harnesses. The number on the plug is M91886 - it's difficult to see in the picture.

Thanks!

After much time of being beat by my washer doing all the diagnostics I used my auto mechanic skills and checked for continuity from the p4 connector to the drain pump connector which it didn't have. So I pulled the plug apart and couldn't believe how cheap the were when designing the harness. It just had the two blue wires clamped in not crimped. So I cut that connector off and crimped on two spade connectors that slip tight over the pins on the pump. Better than whirlpool and washer is fixed. Hope this saves someone time.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my Maytag Bravos MCT Top Loader - it stopped draining. My wife insisted we buy a new machine. I had the tech come out and trouble shot the problem. He said that a sock was jammed into the drain pump and it needed to be replaced. I had replaced the pump myself a month prior and didn't really trust his diagnosis. I checked myself and found one of the two blue wires had come off. Since the black plug only goes in one way, I marked that side and used a pair of those crimp on, female spade-type connectors, flat side to flat side so they fit onto the motor contacts. It worked perfectly and saved me from further cost. Thanks for this wonderful forum!!!
