Ge oven bake element will not turn off, I have unplugged the oven and let it be overnight the pugged it back in and still there is power to the lower element, actually burned thru the lower element.

Here are your parts Parts for GE JBP79WW1 Range - AppliancePartsPros.comI am assuming that the element was a fairly even red along it's length when it was heating. If it was red on only part of it then it could be a grounded element. The most likely cause is a blown control board re: the relay that controls the element is not opening. |
