My whirlpool direct drive washer won't spin. I've replaced the water pump which was rusted on and the motor coupling. It drains the water and agitates but will not spin. There is no oil under washer and the motor sounds like it's spinning but doesn't. I can't turn drum by hand. Anyone have any ideas?

What is the model number??? Remove cabinet and bypass the lid switch. Observe clutch hub during spin mode. Is it spinning? If not, faulty transmission. If it is spinning, look up into brake hub above clutch hub to see if basket drive is rotating. You should see the brake spring rotating around. Eric
