Fridge stopped cooling 3 weeks ago. Prior to not cooling there was water under bottom drawer in refrigerator. There was ice on rear freezer panel. Unplugged and let defrost. Plugged back in, appeared to work fine for 2 weeks. Stopped cooling again.
Ran all Diagnostics: Everything passed. Freezer would defrost when started manually through diagnostics. During the fan test, No fan appeared to come on in the last 5 seconds before it turned on the main freezer fan at completion of test. Do not know what fan, if any that would have been.
Checked for proper drainage, draining fine. Checked continuity in defrost heat element appears fine at around 25.
A little history: replaced main damper and mother board, ice maker and water pumps about 2 years ago. Only other symptom...maybe not related...water dispenser only works intermittently. Been this way for several years. Before and after mother board and pump replacement. Any ideas on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Bill

An update: Replaced Freezer thermostat (Wasn't necessary because the old one successfully tested for continuity) Defrost Heater works in test mode. However the Freezer is not defrosting. All fans functioning correctly. Refrigerator cools until the frost builds up and then it gradually stops cooling. All thermistors pass during built in diagnostic testing. All other diagnostic tests pass.
Could the thermistor be bad even though the onboard diagnostics pass. Could the motherboard be bad even though it test correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:D
Thank you, Bill

If the freezer temperature is well below freezing and the defrost heater is ok, I would replace the motherboard and add a Belkin 1000 joule surge protector to the wall outlet to protect the board.

I was afraid you were going to say that. Excellent suggestion with the Belkin. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
