Hello, the door opens too far on my unit. It goes past 90 degrees which allows the tray to roll out.
This happened after my daughter accidentally landed on it hard.
So far I have investigated the sping linkage, the springs and the hinges. The springs don't appear to be stretched unevenly but they may be weakened based on the event. The spring linkages are in good condition. The hinges were bent but I was able to get them straight again using my vise. Having said that I realize those could still be an issue if I don't have them *just right* for alignment.
My question is- is there anything else on this unit that keeps the door from going to far such as a stop? I didn't see anything on the exploded parts diagram but I just wanted to be sure.
If the answer to my question above is no, then I am guessing my best approach is to adjust the position of the springs in the frame. Thanks in advance for your input!

Here are your parts Parts for Frigidaire FFBD2405KS0A Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.comHave you looked at the hinges? Click on the description or picture and a new page will open with another view of the hinge. Click on the view to enlarge it. Perhaps you can see a difference. Depending how the unit was installed perhaps it is no longer level. Check that the unit is level front to back. |

I'll double check the hinges tonight and see what I can figure out.
