The timer runs for 8 hours then shuts off for 30 minutes to go into defrost. It sounds like the timer isn't kicking out of defrost. The timer is located in the refrigerator section up top in the back. You can manually advance the timer by turning the dial in the middle with a flat head. Yes, it does sound like the defrost timer is staying in defrost and not kicking out to turn the compressor and fans on. Replace the timer it will solve your no cool issue.
