good morning. My wife and I just bought a new ( to us) home and just moved in 2 days ago. it came with a (newer) washer and dryer
they are amana super capacity +
the dryer says something along the lines of industrial size or somthing of that nature on it.
my wife went to do a load of laundry last night and the dryer is not heating up at all. we let it run till it stopped. although, it was still running when we went to bed and when i got up this morning it was still running. the timer never shut off and i stopped the dryer and opened it up it was still not warm.
im uncertain if it is a gas or electric dryer, if i had to guess id say its electric as ther eis the standard large 220 plug behind it and i didnt see any gas line running to it
my question is this, if the heating element is bad. 1) where can i get a new one and 2) if the dryer isnt getting hot will it continue to run or is the timer also faulty?

thanks in advance

hi, check the filter, turn power off at panel 30 amp breaker. this may reset if it's a electronic unit. check the temperture setting make sure it's not on air dry or fluff dry good luck
