I have a Thermador Cook N Vent downdraft exhaust fan 30". The button which deploys the unit to lift for use has broken and there appears to me no way to repair it. I'm even having difficulties finding the model number of the unit. It fits on a Thermador 30' gas range. Any suggestions for a fix to my dilemma?

Have you checked under the filters.

You could also use advanced search for "Cook N Vent" specifying the oven section of the forum.
Then look at some of the posts that come up for a model number and then search the parts site for that model to see if it looks like your unit.

Another possibility would be to get the part number off the control board (if it has one) and then search using that number to see the models that it is used in.
