We have an old Thermador Cook n vent and we would like to change the cooktop but keep the exaust fan. Is it possible to split them ? If it can be done, is it still possible to find replacement parts for any future repair needs? Thanks!

You can not replace just the cooktop because this is one item and there is one control panel for the vent and the cooktop. Also, most of the vent parts as well as parts for the cooktop are no longer available.

I would recommend to install a new cooktop and, if your kitchen allows it, an over-the-range vent. It is much more efficient.

Gene.
