Opened the Freezer door and got bombed with ice cubes. The ice maker is overflowing ice cubes.
What can I check other than the obvious to make sure nothing is hitting the ice maker.
Follow up :
OK I shut off the slide switch on the right switch. Still makes Ice. I looked at all the little holes where everbody talks about a light and dont see any light. The only way to stop the icemaker was to shut off the water supply to fridge.

Should I replace the emitter and sender?

Well no body answered me so I decided to just get the Emmiter and reciever parts. I changed them , took about 10 minutes including time to walk in garage and get the tools.
Problem solved !!!!!
