I have a Roper washer that isn't draining or spinning. It fills and agitates like a champ, but as soon as the dial clicks over to the spin cycle it's dead in the water. There's no noise, doesn't drain, doesn't spin, and the dial stops where it's at. If I move the dial to another agitation cycle it goes like it always has, but as soon as it's time to spin the same thing every time. I know it's not the lid switch because the previous owners had the lid switch bypassed years ago. So if you could please help me diagnose the problem and give me the solution that will give me at least another 5 years outta this wonderful machine I'd be forever grateful.

Need the proper model number. Should be a label with model number and serial number. May be under lid. Check that lid switch bypass. If lid switch circuit is open, it will give symptoms that you are experiencing. (guessing this is an older Whirlpool direct drive model).

I'm sorry the model number was 4213575 Rev.D. Also how would I go about checking that circuit? It's a roper my in-laws bought it back in '94 and it has ran fine until now....

That is not a model number, it is probably just a part number you are seeing.

You need to find the label on the machine that has the model number and serial number or I can't help you. That number isn't it.
