washer fills, agitates, but as soon as the agitation time is up, it goes dead...no noise, no movement of the dial, nothing. It will agitate on rinse, but again, when that time is up, it goes dead again. Nothing....on all wash cycle selections. Is dead on spin cycles as well. Was working fine up to this point. No warnings at all.

The lid switch is the likely culprit here, check it out using the instructions in this video.

I am having this very same problem. I replaced the lid switch, but it hasnt helped. It still goes through the agitation time again and again, but nothing.
