Hi, I have a whirlpool refrigerator that has stopped cooling. The lights work and the fan is blowing.

I have cleaned the coils.
I have removed the start relay, I shaked it and it rattled, so I hoped that was my only problem. So I purchased a new relay and put back on.

Now when everything is attached, I hear a click noise, the condenser seems to click on for about 5 seconds and then it clicks back off.

I have checked the 3 prongs coming out of the condenser with a multimeter
two top pins - 6
top to bottom - 3.2
other top to bottom 3.6

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool ED25TQXGW00 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for your tech sheet.

I am assuming that the fan you refer to is the condenser/compressor fan and that it is still running after the dtart relay replacement.

The two lower compressor winding readings should add together to give the third reading.
Yours do not but this could just be that your meter is not that accurate.

Here is a site with info on how to test things.
How To Fix a Refrigerator - Appliance Repair Guide - ACME HOW TO.com

Note that the compressor and the capacitor tests are not definitive.
They can tell you if the part is bad but not if it is good.
The compressor may have winding to winding shorts or may have internal mechanical problems.
The capacitor may only fail when full operating voltage is applied to it.

Perhaps try disconnecting the capacitor to see if the compressor starts up.
From the tech sheet it looks like it is optional just to give the compressor a little boost.
