Yes, sounds like the tub nut is loose. Would this be the cause of the noise? I'm not sure, with the tub assembly rocking back and forth while in agitate mode, it could be continually tightening/loosening the nut which may be the cause of the noise. You'll find out once you tighten that nut.

Wanted to provide feedback.
I finally had a chance to tighten the tub nut and I was able to turn it a little.
The past 2 weeks I haven't heard the big ka chunk noise.
Also, the tub does not turn by hand as easily as before. I can still turn it, but there is a lot of resistance.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I can probably get some more life out of the washer/dryer.
