My ice maker stopped making ice a couple of days ago. the following is the diagnosis steps
1) opened freezer door; held down emitter flapper on left--i have solid red indicator light on right
2) removed ice maker but left plugged into pigtail, check for ice block at water inlet [all clear]
3) probed with a VOM test ports N and L--no voltage
4)just for grins, jumped T and H--no motor run

i assume this points to a bad ice maker unit but good optics?

Correct?

With emitter flapper closed, red light on right panel is steady red.

fingers are not facing forward as in picture but oriented near the back.

water dispense nipple is pliable but beginning to harden a bit

Great, thank you! The motor module assembly is faulty and will need to be replaced. The correct one for your model is available at the link below.

Thanks. Update. I went by the house at lunch. The icemaker had sometime during the night filled with water and frozen the cubes but had not heated or ejected them. Fingers were in same position as your picture above. i jumped T and H and after a minute or so, it rotated ejected the ice and it then refilled with water.

BTW wouldnt it be a better plan to just replace the whole assy then just the module? Not that big of a difference in cost.

Yes, you certainly could replace the entire unit, if you wish. It may be a bit easier than replacing the module, too.
