My ice maker stopped making ice a couple of days ago. the following is the diagnosis steps 1) opened freezer door; held down emitter flapper on left--i have solid red indicator light on right 2) removed ice maker but left plugged into pigtail, check for ice block at water inlet [all clear] 3) probed with a VOM test ports N and L--no voltage 4)just for grins, jumped T and H--no motor run
i assume this points to a bad ice maker unit but good optics?
Correct?

BTW wouldnt it be a better plan to just replace the whole assy then just the module? Not that big of a difference in cost.

Yes, you certainly could replace the entire unit, if you wish. It may be a bit easier than replacing the module, too.
