My apologies for posting the same question that has probably been answered many times here...after searching I couldn't find my issue.
The agitator in my single belt Maytag continues to oscillate during the spin cycle, doesn't "disengage" and allow fast spinning as it should. I would like to think that I need a new thrust bearing kit but wanted to make sure I don't have other/additional problems. If the tranny is bad for example, I'm not going to attempt a repair as it's not worth it.
-belt is good -brake is good -no obstructions -drains fine -no squeaks, leaks or grinding
Thanks for your time.
