I have a PDS22MFWAWW fridge (freezer on bottom drawer). It was not cooling properly and noticed that the sides were warm/hot to the touch.
After removing the back lower panel, I noticed that it was pretty warm in there and the condenser fan was not running. I put a box fan behind the fridge for awhile, left the panel off and everything seemed to return to normal, fridge cooled down and sides were no longer warm, so I figured the fan was bad.
I ordered a replacement condenser fan (WR84X10055). However when I try plugging in the new fan, it does not run.... So figuring the fan was not getting power, I tried testing the plug to the fan with a meter and it showed about 13.5 DCV, not sure what the meter should say for this plug. But seems like the fan motor would run?
So now I am thinking the main control board (WR55X10942) may be bad. Is there any way to test this? I'd like to confirm this is the issue before returning the condenser fan and ordering the control board.
Thank you!
