My GE hot point ref need a new main control board. I heard it was not subject of recall but GE as indicated in this forum will replace it free except labor My side by side GE Hotpoint ref model HSS25GFPJWW Serial Number Al 219651 which I bought in January 2006. Is my ref within the range of free parts replacement for main control board. Thanks in advance for your help.

Doubt it......only the sealed systems had longer warranties but now of days you're lucky if you get a one year warranty

I am asking for warranties. I checked other forum here that GE has knowledge of defective main control board and that is why based in other forum, GE is replacing parts free but not labor
