I have removed the Monarch garbage disposal but cannot remove the flange that is in the sink it is the type with threads that threads into another flange the 2 parts are rusted together and loose from the sink which means that I have to hold 1 part and try to turn the other part s there a special tool to separate these 2 parts.

there is no special wrench for this.
the large nut on the bottom of the sink that holds the flange in, is a flunky metal.
you will have to chisel it to break apart.

you will have to chisel it to break apart. I was able to break it apart from the top using needle nose pliers it was made out of plastic pretty easy to break.
