I have a RCA Dryer...When attempting to start (turning the start button); it makes a humming sound (like a car trying to start) and then it dies....the best way to describe is like trying to start a car (the car makes a sound likes it's about to start, but then the battery dies and the car doesnt make a sound)

Reach inside and try to turn the drum. Is it hard to turn? Their may be some things that need to be inspected and replaced to get that baby all propah: Unplug the dryer and remove it to the yard if possible. Start here: Start here Older models need to have this clip removed(yer we3x75 goes there) we3x75 drum bearing Remove the screws:
Lift the front out yer way Bad drum glides make weird noises sorta like bad rear brake shoes on a garbage truck or bus Old style drum glide Inside the dryer: Note location of non-resetible limit (if bad dryer will not run)
A broken heating element: Broken dryer element (can easily be restrung)No need to buy the whole new pan! A good look at how dat belt oughta be if installed all propah.
