The main display (clock - temp) does not work properly. Time for instance, shows 10:89 instead of 10:10. Do I need to replace the control board? It's a bloody expensive part and I hate to just start swapping parts.

I cannot find any info on the given model number.

It does sound like the control board needs replacing.
The one caveat is that the display is part of the control board.

I would try removing power from the unit for a couple minutes just to see if the board will reset,

Hi thanks for the response. I have tried shutting off the power and re-starting to no avail. I've also tried removing the board, cleaning all connections with alcohol. It should be noted that other than this the oven functions just fine.

You could just live with it.
It sounds like the driver IC that runs the display is shot.

I could live with it without any problem. Problem is the site forman is a real ballbuster....

Any schematics available? If I had that I could trouble shoot the the failed IC, a phone call to DIGIKEY and some soldering I could have here fixed!

Sorry but the manufacturers do not publish schematics.
