Makes ice just fine and dispenses water, but stopped dispensing or crushing ice. When paddle is depressed there is no noise or movement.
I've taken out and emptied the ice bucket and the auger moves freely. Tried turning motor by hand and it's quite hard but will turn.
Seems a lot of people have this problem, but I've not yet found a post here with suggestions pertaining to my refrigerator model.
Please note, I am not a "Mr Fixit" I'm just an old Grandma hoping to learn of an easy fix to avoid a very costly repair.
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks a bunch! Did the ice gate in the dispenser open when you pushed the ice release lever? Here are the breakdown diagrams and Parts for Whirlpool ED5FHEXSB02 Refrigerator - AppliancePartsPros.comGene.
